It is strange to think that I have almost been here 3 months and only have one week till I return for Christmas break. A blanket of snow is steadily falling outside as I sit in the warmth reflecting upon these past three months and the things God has revealed to me through his word. I wish I could adequately explain what I have been learning, but to do so I would have to write pages. But overall I have been learning how to study the Bible inductively. To study the Bible deductively would be to approach scripture with a topic or a theology in mind and find scriptures to support it. We are laying all of our ideas about God and about Christianity aside and approaching scripture anew and letting it speak for itself. We are looking at letters and books as a whole finding out the big picture and the main idea, in order to properly understand the individual scriptures within the works.
